We are currently searching for the electrical schematic for this rare and unusual East German Microphone system. We know that there are only three known working examples in the united states. They are all privately owned. The Microphone features a stacked modular design. It was manufactured for Stern-Radio Leipzig-VEB / Germany. The mic has been referred to as the tower microphone by several colleagues. It is approximately 14 inches in length 9 inches in diameter. The microphone has a detachable capsule and also brakes down into two sections. It is very heavy and built to last. We currently own one original microphone and active stand (very rare). We are interested in obtaining an original working power supply. We believe that the Telefunken CMV-3 Bottle Microphone power supply will work with this microphone. Please contact us if you have any information concerning this historic microphone system. |

Here are a few detailed photographs of the microphone system. Please note the active stand and the modular design. This microphone was recently found in Germany. |
